Ingredients
Scale
- 1 tub (8 oz) Cool Whip, thawed
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (or dark chocolate chips)
- 1 cup crushed graham crackers (or Oreos, Nilla wafers, etc.)
- Optional coatings:
- Extra crushed graham crackers or cookie crumbs
- Cocoa powder
- Powdered sugar
- Crushed nuts (pecans, almonds, pistachios)
- Sprinkles or shredded coconut
- Optional flavorings: vanilla, peppermint extract, or espresso powder
Instructions
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring each time, until smooth.
- Let the chocolate cool slightly, then fold in the thawed Cool Whip gently with a spatula until fully incorporated.
- Place the bowl in the freezer for 30–45 minutes, until the mixture is firm enough to scoop.
- Use a small cookie scoop or spoon to portion the mixture. Roll between your hands to shape into balls.
- Roll each candy in your choice of coating—graham cracker crumbs, cocoa powder, nuts, etc.
- Place candies on a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate or freeze for 30 minutes to fully set.
- Keep chilled until ready to serve, as they soften quickly at room temperature.
Notes
- Work quickly when rolling—Cool Whip melts with body heat. Chill your hands or use gloves.
- Use good-quality chocolate for the best flavor.
- Real whipped cream can be used, but Cool Whip provides better structure and storage stability.
- Flavor with peppermint, almond, or espresso powder for fun twists.
- Great for gifting—use candy cups and layer in tins with parchment paper.
