Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for a spicy kick)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
- Prepare the Shrimp:
- Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels. Place them in a large bowl.
- Drizzle olive oil over the shrimp and toss to coat.
- Season with garlic powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix until evenly coated.
- Preheat the Air Fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
- Cook the Shrimp:
- Arrange the shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
- Air fry for 6-8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the shrimp are opaque and slightly crispy on the outside.
- Serve:
- Transfer the cooked shrimp to a serving plate. Serve hot with fresh lemon wedges on the side.
Notes
- For even crispier shrimp, use panko breadcrumbs or a light coating of cornmeal.
- Adjust the spices to your taste preferences.
- Serve with dipping sauces like garlic aioli, sweet chili sauce, or cocktail sauce for added flavor.
